I joined the Translational Imaging Group in September 2015 as a MRes/PhD student at the CDT in Medical Imaging. The main topic of my research is the role of 3D imaging for musculoskeletal applications, with special focus on hip replacement surgery. Specifically, I aim at investigating how musculoskeletal computational anatomy could help surgical planning customisation and prediction of clinical outcome.
Prior to UCL, I obtained a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Physics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. For both my thesis projects I worked on Monte Carlo simulations for diagnostic dosimetry, driving my interest towards the application of Physics in Medicine and to the field of Medical Imaging.
