Miscellaneous Information

I am a PhD student at the newly founded Wellcome EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Sebastien Ourselin and Prof. John Duncan. I am part of the Translational Imaging Group (TIG) within the Centre for Medical Image Computing (CMIC) of University College London (UCL).

Prior to being at UCL, I have been working at the Human MRI Neuroimaging Core Facility for Clinical Research (CENIR) of the Brain & Spine Institute (ICM) in Paris. I was a Research Engineer within the Stereotaxy Core Facility (STIM) and the Experimental Neurosurgery team

I obtained my Bachelor in Sound and Image Engineering and my Master in Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), where I worked on Surgical Planning for craniofacial and breast cancer surgery, respectively. Previously I received my BEng in Industrial Electronics at the ICAI School of Engineering. During my BEng at UPM I spent one year as an exchange student at Beuth Hochschule für Technik of Berlin.

My current research aims to explore the potential of Deep Learning techniques for Stereotactic neurosurgery. I am part of the research group that develops the Epilepsy-Navigator (EpiNavTM), an interactive software platform to assist in planning and guiding surgical interventions for epileptic patients.

When not staring at a computer screen, I enjoy jamming with my guitar or trumpet and playing football with my friends.
