Since September 2015, I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering of University College London, within the Translational Imaging Group of CMIC. My research interests include surgical robotics for microsurgery, and optomechatronics systems and computer vision algorithms for medical scene understanding.
Feel free to contact me for open PhD and post-doc positions. I am happy to support candidates to apply for fellowships to work within our group [Fellowships by the EPSRC, Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society (e.g. Newton International Fellowships), The Wellcome Trust, the Leverhulme Trust, and the European Union (MSC actions)].
If you are interested in a Ph.D. in Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Interventions, make sure you pay close attention to the deadlines of the CMIC CDT. Also, be aware that UCL offers excellent scholarship opportunities for UK/EU and overseas students.
In 2014, I co-founded Respi, Inc., with Antonios Kouris, aiming to create a miniaturised cloud-enabled spirometer and asthma management. Stay tuned for our iOS app!
