This week, the kick-off meeting of the AMYPAD project took place in London. AMYPAD, Amyloid imaging to prevent Alzheimer’s Disease, has three main goals:

  1. improve the diagnostic workup of people suspected to have AD and their management;
  2. understand the natural history of AD in a presymptomatic stage;
  3. select people for treatment trials aiming at preventing AD by ensuring more homogeneous and appropriate enrolment.

This project is led by Prof Frederik Barkhof and you can find more information about it on the website.
